“Keep in mind, the margin of error is about 98 percent.”
One of TV’s most underwatched shows, Community is a cult favorite among sitcom and comedy fans. Previously, the show had garnered 6 full seasons and winning an Emmy, Community was rumored to be getting a movie.
Creator and writer of the show, Dan Harmon mentioned that conversations were happening. That the possibility of a movie in the works was making progress towards a release.
While Harmon is now known among casual fans for his work on another Emmy Winning Show, Rick and Morty. Harmon showed both times that he is an incredibly accomplished writer with a wicked sense of humor.
“I can tell people for sure that the enthusiasm for Community, both for all of this time and the resurgence of it on Netflix, there’s always an aspect of that affects the marketplace. And when the marketplace gets affected, conversations happen. And when conversations happen, things happen.”
Community spawned a healthy following of people who lived the dry sarcasma and meta-heavy humor. Plus, the fact that it takes place in a Community College made it relevant to a huge untapped audience.
Honestly, we’re big Community fans here at Geekhash so we’d kill to see a Community movie! Especially if Dan Harmon is going to be the creator!
