While McQuarrie didn’t share any details about what role Morales would be playing, Deadline is reporting that he will be replacing Hoult who was cast in a villainous role, and who faced scheduling issues when the production on the two films was delayed due to the pandemic.

Morales, who played Deathstroke in the second season of Titans, is joining a cast that includes Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, and Hayley Atwell.

The release dates for both movies were recently postponed due to the indefinite delay of production, though both are still set for release in 2021 and 2022.
