The news was originally leaked by Smyths Toys in its listing for the Xbox Series X, bringing attention to the free-to-play news and framerate, along with “greatly reduced load times.”
We still have yet to learn anything more about Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer, though we did learn more about the game’s single player campaign during the recent Xbox Gaming Showcase. During the showcase, 343 confirmed the campaign will be running at a locked 60fps.
The game is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year and this news about the multiplayer follows the open discussion that has been ongoing about the single player portion that was showed off. Many fans were critical of the graphics and visual style of the game, to which 343 said they were listening to and taking into account.
Halo Infinite will be alongside the launch of the Xbox Series X this holiday season, and will also be released on PC and Xbox One.
