Justice for the Justice League
Coming next year in 2021, Zack Snyder’s long battle is finally coming to an end. After months, at this point years even, of fan campaigns and demands, WB is officially releasing the Snyder Cut.
HBO Max, the new streaming service from HBO and WB, will be releasing the much sought after film in 2021. A specific date has yet to be reached, but honestly, fans are more than happy to wait a year for this film.
Director Zack Snyder gave a heartfelt thank you statement to his fans and campaigners.
“I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality.”
Additionally, Snyder confirmed that he will have to bring back crew and cast for additional recordings and shots. Crew will be coming back to help polish off some CGI, add new details and just assist in the release of the film.
How Long Will the Movie Be?
While HBO has not commented on how long the movie could run, the initial planned release was pushing 3 hours. Since we’re talking about a Director’s Cut of the original planned release, we could be looking at longer. Because of that, some fans are speculating that it could be released in either 2 or 3 parts as an episodic installment.
Most likely we’ll just see a really long movie released as one project on HBO Max.
We’ve been strong supporters of the Snyder Cut for some time now. Even after actors like Momoa, Fisher and Affleck joined in on the campaign, fans have kept up with the demand. After Justice League was released, it was not received well, much to Snyder’s chagrin when he saw the finished project.
Snyder was immediately vocal how he felt about his original vision being distorted and that Whedon didn’t get it. Since that time, the news about Snyder’s original cut has been swirling around, seems we finally get justice.
