Fans are Destroying Copies of Joss Whedon’s Justice League… Why?

Truth, Justice and a good old hammer!

After the huge news that Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League will be officially released, some fans reacted… Oddly.

Back when Justice League was still in development, many people were cautiously excited for the film. After news came out that Zack Snyder had to drop out of the project due to a family tragedy, Joss Whedon stepped in. Most fans expected this to mean that Whedon would just be touching things up, we were wrong.

Shortly after Whedon came onto the project, there were reports that we’d be seeing a very different version of the movie. Entirely filmed scenes and CGI renderings were left out. Character moments were cut or completely written out of the story. Villains Darkseid and Steppenwolf were completely changed or removed from the movie.

Add onto that, more humor, removal of Snyder’s darker moments and removing 90% of Henry Cavill’s scenes. Overall, it went from a new step for the DCEU to an almost catastrophic reimagining that put WB in a bad place.

After the release of the film, fans and critics tore it apart. Lambasting the tonal inconsistencies and drastic changes from the original version. When we say drastic, we mean that if the leaks are to be believed, Whedon basically remade the entire movie from the ground up.

Great Reactions

Now, fans of the Snyder Cut movement and naysayers of the Whedon cut are making good on some promises. With some hilarious responses to owning versions of the Whedon version, people are taking out some long frustrations.

Have hammer? Do what this guy did.

What if a hammer just won’t do the trick? Hey, just light up that old firepit and give that movie a viking funeral!
