Destiny 2 Has Been Confirmed for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X

Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2, the popular shared-world shooter, will be making its way to the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.

Following last week’s Inside Xbox that focused on the third-party games coming to the Series X, Bungie took the opportunity to announce that their game would be making the jump to next-gen, with details being discussed in the future.

It isn’t clear if the game will take advantage of the Xbox’s Smart Delivery option, which allowed players who already own a specific game to make a free upgrade to the next-gen version.

Last year, Bungie separated from Activions and got full control of Destiny. They also announced their plans to transition the game from a first-person shooter to an action-MMO. They also intend to release one non-Destiny game by 2025.

Despite it being released in 2017, Destiny 2 is still sure to be a favorite in the next generation, given Bungie’s commitment to the game and frequent releases of DLC and new seasonal events.
