We have our first look at the Snyder Cut in the form of a short teaser given to us by Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa.

The actor took to his personal Instagram to share the clip, which shows us Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) discovering some kind of ancient object that looks to have an image of Darkseid on it. The clip then cuts to a video that is the same as the image teased by Zack Snyder of the villain on a barren wasteland.

Over the clip is what seems to be Lex Luthor (Jessie Eisenberg) giving his monologue from the end of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, saying “The bell’s already been rung. And they’ve heard it.”

Luthor was the first to make contact with Steppenwolf in that film so it makes sense that he knows what is coming.

The clip has also been shared by Snyder and HBO Max’s official YouTube channel.

Zack Snyder was set to direct Justice League, but dropped out of production after a family tragedy. Joss Whedon came on to finish the film, changing much of the script and vision that Snyder had. The response wasn’t great for the movie and many fans immediately began to petition for Snyder to get a chance at releasing his version of the film.

This was the birth of the Snyder Cut movement. After many years of teasing and hints at its existence, HBO Max decided to make the film a reality by giving Snyder $30 million or more to complete the cut. The Snyder Cut is set to release on the streaming platform in 2021.

This clip certainly has us excited to see more of what Snyder has in store. Darkseid being cut from Justice League was a big disappointment and we can’t wait to see him finally brought to life. There is still much we don’t know about the Snyder Cut, but you can be sure we will have the scoop here when more news comes out.
